Homemade Baby Food

I received a Baby Bullet homemade baby food maker off of my Target gift registry and I cannot wait to get creative!

Here are two recipes I have in mind to try first. These recipes call for a traditional method to make them. If you have a baby food maker, just follow the directions to your brand's maker!

Banana & Avocado Puree

Ingredients:

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 banana

Stove or oven method:

Peel banana and cut roughly into chunks.
Cut and deseed avocado and scoop out the flesh.
Combine in a bowl and mash gently together with a potato masher or fork.

Baby's First Applesauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 Pink Lady apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 2 cups water

Stove or oven method:

In a saucepan, bring apples and water to the boil.
Simmer for 10 minutes until the apples are very soft.
Remove from the heat and allow to cool for a few minutes.
Puree using a stick or conventional blender until smooth or push through a sieve.
